Rajiv Ruparelia, the managing director of Ruparelia Group and wife Naiya hosted a launch as the apartments became the latest members of the Ruparelia Hotels and Apartments portfolio.
Ruparelia said: "We are targeting diaspora Ugandans who come for a week or month to visit their families. We will also target the foreign families and Ugandans who want to bring guests from abroad. It will be a mixture."
Speke Apartments has 83 units for corporate, leisure and family travellers in Kampala for short or long term lets.
General manager Dubakka Suresh said the one- and two bedroom apartments are all air-conditioned and have full fitted kitchens.
Facilities include complimentary high speed wifi, a restaurant and bar, parking spaces, 24 hour security, health club access at Kabira Country Club and Speke Apartments Wampewo, both of which are in a driving distance.
