Plans submitted for Staycity’s fourth Manchester aparthotel

Developer Catalyst Capital has submitted a planning application for a nine-storey aparthotel in Manchester’s New Cross.

Designed by SimpsonHaugh, the 224-unit building, on a site bounded by Mason Street, Cable Street, and Cross Keys Street, be operated by Stacity.

It will be the Dublin-based operator's fourth property in the city. It currently operates premises at Laystall Street in Ancoats, and Gateway House on Piccadilly Approach. It plans to open a third site, a 256-room aparthotel, on the upper floors of Property Alliance Group's 3 St Peter's Square. Main contractor Russells started work on the project this month.

“The last two days have been great. There’s been a really, really diverse group, but not such a large audience that we couldn't get to know each other and really spend more quality time together. I was really excited to hear that Recharge rotates around to different markets across Europe. So it will definitely be on my agenda for next year.”
