Automated ironing system "effie" has been launched, offering the hospitality industry a fast and efficient technology solution for ironing needs.
effie has the ability to iron up to 12 fabrics in bulk including polyester, cotton, silk, viscose, and denim, at a rate of three minutes per item. It can improve the efficiency and profitability of cleaning operations in hospitality businesses.
effie was designed by engineers Rohan Kamdar and Trevor Kerth. Their aim was to make ironing easier and faster. They spent two years developing the product. They tested forty prototypes before arriving at the final version of effie.
Kamdar said: "Since we were able to quickly test multiple versions and different features of effie, we are confident that the final form is a device that businesses will be excited to use and will save them so much time and effort."
