Contemporary aparthotel opens in Florence

M7 Contemporary Apartments, an 11-unit aparthotel has opened in Florence.

Italian studio Pierattelli Architetture designed the project, which is located near Fortezza da Basso, "far from mass tourism but just a short distance from the city centre".

The space - of more than 1,000 square metres - comprises 11 apartments set inside a neoclassical building, whose interior was completely reinterpreted, "creating a spatial subdivision aimed at maximum functionality and the exploitation of all usable space".

The 11 apartments, divided between one-, two- and three-bedroom units - are all equipped with a kitchen and living area. Rooms have a clean, linear design featuring light tones; warm woods, such as canaletto walnut; and "sharp, resolute touches of colour such as emerald green and electric blue".

“It’s my second year attending RECHARGE and I have enjoyed it as much as last year. It was great reconnecting with all the lovely and lively old faces and meeting up new ones. Experiencing some of the best of Belfast living spaces and the varied panel of talks makes it worthwhile as we receive a pure condense of knowledge and information over 2 days.”
